Cross-off so expected more wind further out, but there was not, so hard to get 4.7 planing on way though did a few times. Rode several waves in and wind direction was great to try DTL, best ones for ages. Got tired struggling out so 5.3m but wind lightened for that to be a struggle too, even hard to water start but managed to catch a couple of waves and surfed in with no wind power which was a great feeling and never done before in such light conditions.
Even though only several wave rides with turns and struggling to plane out, rides were best for me so loved it.
A few others struggling out too but riding waves well in - a real 'float and ride' day, and never realised how hard work that can be.
15 days out in February, which is best in UK by a mile. Might even go tomorrow but looks like wind dying too early, and I am tired anyway.
Used North mast with North 4.7 and 5.3m and look better than on RRD mast, though in these conditions could not tell if sailed better. Also used bigger back fins and felt draggy but hard to tell as wind was light and sea choppy so will leave on to try again.
